Bridesmaid Hairstyles Tips 2010

Bridesmaid Hairstyles Tips 2010

Weddings can be a trying time for all involved. It’s a great honor to be asked to be a bridesmaid in a wedding. While the bride has lots of stress to deal with in planning her big day, bridesmaids also get stressed out. After all, as a bridesmaid, you have to find a dress and accessories that go with the wedding’s theme, find shoes, and try to make sure that you look beautiful without accidentally outdoing the bride.

Some brides have to decide on everything. When you’re a bridesmaid for these types of brides, you probably won’t get much of a say in how you’re going to wear you’re hair. You could try to argue your point if the bride chooses a style you absolutely hate. You could try to get her to sit down and discuss options with all the bridesmaids. If the bride is demanding that you cut your hair in a way you really don’t want or demanding that you dye your hair, then you have every right to try to reach a compromise with her. But if it’s just the style you don’t really like, it might be best to just go along with it. After all, it’s the bride’s big day, not yours, and you’ll only have to wear it that once.

Some brides will simply tell you the theme and what accessories they would like you to wear; they may even buy the accessories for you. In this case, you can pretty much wear your hair however you would like. If you have to buy your own accessories, make sure they match the dress you’ll be wearing. Combs are great for up-dos like a French twist and come in a variety of colors; they also are perfect for dressing up a short haircut. Hairpins come in a variety of styles – from silver fairies to freshwater pearls and crystals – and are perfect for any length hair. It may be a good choice for the bridesmaids to wear a small tiara that mimics what the bride is wearing.

A good rule of thumb is to wear your hair down if the bride is wearing hers up, and vice versa. If all the bridesmaids are wearing their hair up and you have short hair, just fluff the back, and use hairpins to sweep your hair off your face and keep it back. Long hair can easily be dressed up in a variety of ways. Junior bridesmaids should have their hair similar to the bridesmaids, but with less of an adult look; pins and combs work great for them.

Fall Winter 2009-2010 Hairstyles Tips

Fall Winter 2009-2010 Hairstyles Tips

As the summer turns to fall, the fashionistas amongst us begin to look at what’s in store for hair in the fall of 2009. Each season has its own look and it simply doesn’t work to keep the same look all through the year. But choosing from the newest trends may still hold a surprise for you if you are looking to completely change your appearance.
Fall 2009 Hairstyles Tips

Many women are extremely vain when it comes to their tresses and how the care for them. When the temperatures begin to drop for the autumn and winter seasons, it’s a good idea to give your hair a little extra tender loving care. Just as too much sunlight can damage your hair so can extreme dryness and frigid temperatures. One way to prevent damage is to limit the amount of styling products and techniques you use when styling your hair. Overuse of blow-dryers can cause your hair to become brittle and more susceptible to breakage. Teasing the hair too often and too vigorously can lead to split ends. If you simply cannot manage your hair without these techniques, you may need to use a deep conditioning masque more frequently than women who don’t. Women who color their hair frequently are at risk for their hair to lose its luster, as well as its strength. A visit to a professional stylist is the best way to create a maintenance program for your hair in fall 2009 that will protect your hair throughout the winter.

How To Choose Your Own Hair Stylist

How To Choose Your Own Hair Stylist

When it comes to our hair, most of us are pretty careful about who cuts it. There are so many professionals and salons out there, it can become quite hard to choose. Before you actually find your own stylist, you may want to take a look at a few aspects. These aspects will give you a better idea about what you should be looking for.

There may need to be some sort of interviewing process with your stylist. Sit down with them and take a look at all of their work. Some salon websites even post their stylist profiles on their website. Take a look at a few websites and see which stylists might interest you. From there, you need to look at the location. You do not want to drive all the way across town in order to get with your stylist. Choose someone that is relatively close to you or even your workplace. Price will also play a very big factor. Try not to spend too much on cuts and color. Keeping it simple is what everyone is shooting for during this recession.
It may take a little bit of time in order to find the right stylist. As long as you know what you want and how much to spend, your search should be a whole lot easier. Make sure that you take the time to interview any stylists and make your decision from there. It is always nice to be able to sit around and talk to your stylist while they fix up your hair!
